Default The Geese are Southward Bound

Was cutting grass in my back 40 today when I heard a familiar sound. It was the honking of Geese and they were headed South for the winter. A sure signal winter is right around the corner. I'm on one of the flyways here in Germany and I hear them twice a year coming and going. Ami

Dang, Ami. You can forget about that 10 guage magnum and get out a couple of SAM's. Those feathered honkers are high enough to be on 100% 0xygen.

Yep, 10 gauge mag won't come close. When they flew by a VIP USAF Learjet from Ramstein Flew right by them on his approach. He came up on them from behind so I know he saw them. Ami

When I was stationed in Washington State (the old Larson AFB at Moses Lake), one of our KC-135 crews came into debriefing one day and reported that they had encountered a flock of geese that was 6 miles wide and 35 miles long and at 15 thousand feet. Now that's a lot of Christmas Dinners.
