Pinnochio
Received this 'Pinnochio' from akgardengirl along with the Grumpies. It has the tiniest little tomato already!

I once asked Andrey from Belarus, about this tomato as they list it a lot in seed catalogues over there,
And he said that even though it was a good producer, the taste was not so good and he didnt recommend it. |

Michael, the taste is very subjective as everybody knows. Here in Eastern Europe we prefer more tangy tomatoes and there are only some % of gardeners who like sweet and cherry type
Pinnochio is very compact and looks very similar to German CV Balkonzauber. I believe it will be a hit for Alaska growers. I've send about 30 our compact and early tomato varieties to Alaska gardeners earlier this year. Alaskan gardeners will definately like Russian tomatoes, early cabbages, squashes and cucumbers

Hi, Andrey. As you probably know, the plant I have is from seed you sent to Sue. She was very generous in sharing with me. I'm very excited to grow it. I do agree that your varieties will be very successful here. Thanks for sending them over!
Best regards, Sherry |
