Default Anyone ever plant Red Ace Beet?

I planted 5 varieties of beet; Red Ace, Cylindra, Detroit, Early Wonder, Ruby Queen. Red Ace touts itself as high germinating, yet it has the lowest germination of all 5 types. There's barely any that germinated to be honest. Seed was purchased from Territorial Seed; could I have received a bad batch? first time ordering from them and first time with a germination issue. First time I've come across this in the 4 or 5 years of having gardens.
