Season starting in earnest
Csikos Botermo - heavy setting small cluster tomato
Blush from Fred Hemple Maglia Rosa, also from Fred. Yazon - supposed to be a small yellow/white variety but with the drought and intense sun it's definately yellow for me. The first of the larger varieties to ripen more than a single token real slicer sized fruit is Magyar Piros Boker, a Hungarian determinate variety. I'll weigh some of these tonight to report on the actual size, they are pretty uniform, crack free and prolific, so I'm hoping they are tasty! I am absolutely going to do cold treatment of my plants every year from now on. Almost every variety has set a decent amount of fruit lower than I have ever seen on my plants before.
