Go to Thailand or Sri Lanka and you will find the plumerias = franjipanis near every temple as they are called "temple plants" there. There are plants with white, yellow and pink blossoms and ALL have a wonderful fragrance.

The easiest way to get new plants is to use a cutting from a well flowering branch. I've done so (taken home cuttings from Sri Lanka) and had the first flowers the next year. Had to take them inside the house in winter for 4 or 5 years; then a sudden first frost and they were all gone - mushy stems after one slightly frosty night and no recovery...
