I really enjoyed reading heirloomtomatoguy’s story, I quite understand one can be sentimentally attached to a tool that has a story, and be eager to keep it in top condition. Personally I’ve never bought or used Husqvarna equipment, mostly Stilh machines along half a century, light ones for clearing hedges, big ones for felling trees. I enjoyed working with them in a summer house in the mountains, making professional wood cutters laugh good naturedly at me, saying that when I was able to cut 20 metric cubes a day they would hire me. Of course it never happened. I remember they only used Stilh machines as they buried them under leaves at the end of a working day and were sure they would start the following day. I do hope heirloomtomatoguy’s children will have the same respect for that chainsaw, run it from time to time and clean it afterwards !
