Sounds to me like all should be well then, just make sure the mix stays moist not wet, heir on the side of drier then wetter, feed weekly or every two weeks with some sort of water soluble fertilizer. I have not graduated to organic yet and use miricle grow for tomatoes and follow the direction on the package. I generally fertilize every week at half strength.
