american japanese maples are amazing in pots
hawthornes - flowers & fruit: whats not to like ??? cedars - love them jade plants - indoors and out I have a number of bonsai projects that I'm growing out - I've been doing it for quite some time ~ Tom

Just noticed the replies. More good ideas for trees!
After doing more research by googling the pics of trees I'm interested in, I decided one of the varieties I'll be buying is Japanese White Pine. Will include one or two more varieties, just not sure which ones yet. Most likely the Atlas Cedar will be one of them. |

Tom- I love the look of Hawthorne, and had IDed them in our local park- we routinely glean our local park for mulberries... the when the haws were ripe, they (or the leaves?) exploded in a fungus.... I think its cedar-hawthorn rust.
Dont know how common an ailment it is, but I see OmahaJB is in Onio |
