First decent harvest SF Bay Area

I'm about 2-3 weeks ahead of last years first decent harvest. Spring was awsome here and we are in a 3-4 day heat wave in the Bay Area.

Left to right- 2 Ukrainian Heart, 1 Olena Ukrainian, 1 Crnkovic Yugo. and 2 Danko.

Last bunch of New Big Dwarf and top one is a homemade cross F1

What's your review on Danko? Is it prolific? I'm starting some for fall harvest. Any other varieties you'd recommend to grow in SF Bay Area?

Annapet- Danko for me has been a average-good tasting and good yeilding tomato for me, BUT it did not get a fair shake as it one out of two hearts I grew in containers this year. I'm a strong believer in that containered tomatoes dont taste as good as in ground tomatoes. As far as the rest of my hearts that are growing in the ground, they are absolutely fabulous! So I will for sure be growing Danko next year in the ground. My favorites this year have been mostly hearts such as Kosovo, Tsar Kolokol, Anna Maria, Anna Russian and Ukrainian Heart. Other non hearts that have done well and tasted great in our area are Red Brandywine, Paul Robeson, Green Doctors and Olena Ukrainian. I have seed for all these varieties if your interested for next years crop. Good luck and let me know how your season turns out.

Damon, thank you so much. Hopefully next year I will have a raised bed or two. My tomatoes are all grown in containers. I hope you'll keep on posting your photos.
