Ludmilla's Yellow Giant and more.
Ludmilla's Yellow giant is a new one from Reinhard Kraft that Carolyn and I are growing out. Yellow they are but not a Giant. Will cut them open tomorrow and do a taste test. The first 3 pictures are LYG. The next picture is what I took off of my Roger's Best Black plant today and this variety is starting to impress not only in production but flavor as well. The last picture is Hege German Pink and the production and flavor are excellent. Ami
The ball pictured with Ludmilla's is a little bigger than a baseball.

yes, Ami, I'm also growing it as you said, but cutting to the chase, I doubt I'll get ANY fruits off of ANY of my plants for all the reasons I've mentioned before in other posts.
One cuke and two grape tomatoes from Smarty F1 is the take so far and September isn't shaping up to be warm and sunny, so I may have to grow all the same new varieties next year.

What a horrible season, Carolyn! I'd wish to send you some of our warmth and sunshine! I nearly feel ashamed of saying that I have the best season ever... I've already given away a lot of ripe fruits as we can't eat all we have. Now I'm thinking about drying my treasures.
Ami, great looking tomatoes - as always! clara |

Here are the pictures and taste results of Ludmilla's Yellow Giant as promised.
Big in size no, but more than makes up for it in taste. It's one of those that has the right amount of everything. It's like making desert where you put a little fruity flavor here, little sugar there and a little bitter to balance it out. Needless to say the seeds are saved and the fruit is history. So here she is showing her best stuff. Ami

Great pictures....LYG looks like it should taste great....I will get my first taste of Ludmilla's Red Plum in a day or so....My season is not as dismal as Carolyn's as our waether is perfect for tomatoes now and looks to stay that way....Unfortunateley, I only have containers left from the grasshoppers....My grow list next year will be a near repeat of this year too...

Jeanne, If your Ludmilla's Red Plum has half the production my plants had last year you will have a lot of maters. Ami
