Does Mosquito Dunks=BT Hornworm Killer?
OK, I have a question, and maybe someone out there has already tried this. I found more horn worms tonight, but am out of BT, and the nearest supplier is 45 min. away. I don't want to drive to town in the morning just to get this one thing, and I have some new Mosquito Dunks. Can I just dissolve them in water and use them?

If the dunks are Bt then they are probably a different strain. There are several strains of Bt, each one more or less specific for the types of bugs it kills.

Pull them off the toms and stomp them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's what I do------ no chemicals, no spraying, no problem. I have had a few horn worms lately, I did not know you had to deal with them in the fall too. (newbie thought)

Here's a nice little summation of the different strains of Bt. Scroll down for the list.
