Just for the record, but I will be sowing TPS soon for growing out mini tubers of sorts fro harvest in December greenhouses. One seed per 72 cell trays. Hope to get about 100 trays sown.

Richard,
Here are some of Tom's TPS harvest : from top left clockwise : Skagit beet, Pig Knuckles, Diamond blue, New Zealand spud of MG and on top of it (in a small bag) are Highland BUrgundy Red spuds from TPS. The second picture is spuds of 9 Criolles (also from Tom) ,but unfortunately the spuds are starting to sprout/chit now... How are your spuds from TPS ? Sorry, the second picture is 9 pufs not 9 criolles, my mistake ! Last edited by Tomaat; September 16, 2009 at 05:52 PM. Reason: Wrong file name! |

Tomaat,
Thanks for the pictures, I will use them in my potato breeding workshop tomorrow in Gembloix, Belgium. I have several of my friends from the Internet taking classes and it has been fun. Today was on tomato crosses and I had lots of interest in my tomato varieties grown in Europe for me. Tom Wagner |

Tomaat,
We will be meeting each other later this day it seems. Hope to see the potatoes! It is very hard to find the time to write when traveling in Europe and having to get unsecured wireless Internet connections in the few places available. I have some of the potatoes from my TPS grown in Haverskerque with me. And of course, the tomatoes. Tom |

I was lucky, MG. Yes I do like coloured one better ,but if the paler one also taste good, I will grow them too (if I have enough space).

Medbury,
I will look at those potatoes when I get back from Europe at the end of next month. Can't wait to see all of those seedling potatoes I left behind, but I will get to see some of my "baby potatoes" when I meet up with Tomaat in less than 24 hours. Tom |

Some recently send TPS sent to me from Tomaat(Cara, salad blue)have struck after been sown early in Oct,apparently TPS needs to have a 6 month dormancy but this seed accordingly to Nevi had only been recently extracted from the berrie.
Does anyone have any thoughts on way this is?? |
