Default chickens in my tomato garden

this is the first year i've had this problem, these are some rotten critters. they are pecking and I aint grinning. help!!!!

Welcome to Tomatoville, Joel! Are the chickens yours? Is this the first year you had 'em? This is the first year you've grown tomatoes? Is this the first year they decided they liked tomatoes? Based on the little I know, I'm leaning toward chicken soup or chicken wire.

I recommend an overnight brine (salt, sugar, bay leaf, white pepper) then applewood smoke at 190f until the breast hits 160f. Wrap in foil and put in a cooler for 45 minutes......

the chickens belong to a new neighbor. i've already spoke with him about the problem. He looked like one of the guys in the movie deliverance. the one with the missing teeth. I dont think I want to make soup out of his chickens.

The obvious win-win solution here would be an offer to share chicken cacciatore with him.
