Looking really good ,great time of year when the first peppers start ripening.
Ive just started of seed for a purple New Zealand heirloom variety that i get payed to grow for seed. |

The problem with a number of heirlooms variates that were brought to NZ by the early settlers is they were grown by either a one family or only a small community and that over time the original names have changed.When many of these were donated to our group for preservation,they simply came with names like for example,"Bob's Bean"or "Margaret Dale silver beet"so there for i don't know if the name of this purple pepper is that of the original,we call it "Purple Bell".
Ive never grown it before and know very little about it, i will post updates on its progress through the coming season. Roll on spring |
