Raybo, what microbials did to add to the aggregate prior to and during plant out. I know you said previously that you didn't start your foliar applications till June. Ami

Ami,

I did a soil drench with Actinovate upon planting, then a follow-on soil drench about a month later with Exel LG.

We were hammered by infestations of Aphids initially, and then the more destructive Psyllids. Also, I didn't start a spray routine of Serenade and Daconil until June 20, which in retrospect was too late. I think the combination of the gnawing insects on the leaves plus no weekly Serenade / Daconil sprayings did some of the plants in.

Several like Big Beef however, are doing just fine. I'll know better next year to commence weekly sprayings on May 1 for sure.

Ray- Do you mean 'trade' cuttings? If so yes I will root some cutting for you asap. And I'll take a GC or two in return.

Damon,

I was speaking of the tomatoes themselves. I've got many Goose Creek now, and would love to taste a Paul Robeson, which died on me before I could pick any ripe fruit.

Ray- Oh man that sucks, to grow all those PR's and not taste any!

Problem for me is PR is in the back 40 (least sunny spot) of the garden and doesn't have many fruit on it. But I'm sure I could spare a couple fruit.

Damon,

No hurry. I'd just like to taste one to compare vs. Indian Stripe and JD Special C-Tex sometime. I took down my Japanese Black Trifele today that was just loaded with fruit. Stems were turning black, and crisping up. No sense contaminating my Purple Haze in the adjacent 'Tainer.

Damon,

I don't want to trouble you. Besides, I am in the office this week. Let's shoot for early next week. I will be more than happy to come to your place with some Goose Creek, Purple Haze, and JD Special C-Tex.
