Oxidate For Blight
Has anyone used or had any experience with Oxidate, hydrogen dioxide, for blight or soil treatment? I saw an ad for it in Johnny's catalog and did a little research on the web but wondered if it worked?
I emailed the company and asked if it was available in anything smaller than the 2.5 gal size. They said by the end of the year they hoped to have a product for the home gardener. |

Ronny - did you ever find anything out further on oxidate? Looks like another product called zerotol is similar...

Hydrogen Dioxide is the same thing as Hydrogen Peroxide. You can buy the standard 3% solution anywhere & dilute with water accordingly, without paying someone extra for a prepackaged product.
Here's a page for solution concentrations: http://www.using-hydrogen-peroxide.c...-peroxide.html |

Oxidate has something in it to keep it from being light sensitive. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down quickly in light, especially sunlight hence the brown bottles. I emailed Biosafe the maker of Oxidate in 2007 and said they planned on introducing a quart consumer size later that year but they still haven't done it.
