Phew! I am going to move to an entirely different climate next year. I have been scouring these pages to see which varieties do well there (Dixie). I already have my "must buys" list (including some of my favorites from here (PNW) based on what is known to do well there. I also have a huge list of "I'll try 'em and see" varieties. Looking at your harvest, I am adding some varieties to the 'must try' list. Somebody, please help me...this addiction is uncurable.

I have noted many varieties that did well according to some of these growers in TN, AL, GA, etc. I have also concluded that it might be worth while experimenting with some form of shade cloth. I expect my 'maters to do better than I do my first summer. I'll need a shady porch big enough to keep a keg of beer!
