Default Can anyone recommend a nursery near Oswego, IL?

Hi,
My nephew recently moved to Oswego, IL. He had recently (within the last 3 years) become interested in growing tomatoes, and I had been giving him a few plants each year. Does anyone know of a nursery near Oswego where he'd be able to find a decent selection of heirloom tomatoes?
Thanks for any input.

Schaefer's Greenhouses in Montgomery should be just down the road. I grew up next door to the Schaefers - good family and a quality business. I'm sure they can take care of any needs.

Hi Seeker,

Here's a small world connection - I'm originally from Reading, PA and currently live close to Oswego, IL. I will have plenty of seedling heirlooms to give to your nephew if he would like. He would just have to grow them to planting size. I have staggered plantings with the oldest plants starting to show their second leaves. I have 25+ different varieties this year including Mrs. Benson. The Benson family is actually from Oswego. PM if interested and I will send you my grow list.

Default The Growing Place: Naperville

If he doesn't mind driving 12 miles, this nursery is fantastic. The Plank Road address. They have many unusual items, decent heirloom tomato selections etc. I could spend hours there. Downside is its pricey. Upside is that he'll find things there he won't find anywhere else.
