Yes they are stink bugs.

chesterfielders link above sends you to a site about stink bugs and there it says, (click on the one with the soldier), that stink bugs were first introduced in Pa in 1987, I can remember seeing stink bugs as a child and that was long before 1987. Maybe a different type of stink bug? They look just like the ones in the pictures..

It is just more proof the much of the stuff you read on the web is just garbage.

I have seen people at work in a panic because they read on the web that Russia was lining their tanks up on the border to begin WWII.

I dont read too much about stink bugs because those pictures made me creep out.

Snip the leaf off and put it in a jar, then hatch them out. Should be able to get a positive ID then.
