I had 2 huge SOTW growing in the garden. Deer ate them both at the beginning of my season. The only 2 eaten out of 60 + plants. I was hot! Definitely in my list for next season.

"I guess that is how it got its name years ago."
As I understand it,the name "Stump of the World" is Biblical. The stump was referred to in the Old Testament and from that stump, the branch of Jesse grew and was viewed as a foretelling of the coming of Christ. I always thought of it as a weird name but if the above is true, then it at least appears to be as logical as Mortgage Lifter or Underground Railroad or Box Car Willy. IMHO, these names are far more fascinating than Ace, Big Red, Bad Boy, Late Girl, etc. |

Grew it the last 2 years, here is the plant 2 years ago a ton of fruit and a huge one picked early
