The purple beans are great, I grew Royal Burgundy last year and the flavor was terrific. Good yields too. I'm also trying Royalty Purple this year.

Phooey, you are making me very jealous! It is darn cold here in the PNW right now, lots of rain - my poor plants are wondering what they did wrong to have been thrown out of the house and left to their own in the garden! Some of my beans have ventured forth and poked their noses out of the ground, but I would bet they wished they hadn't.

I have never seen a black, (or purple as you say) bean before. I've seen the yellow, I never tried them as they looked like wax to me. Guess I'm going to have to try some new things.

I came home last night and picked yardlong beans, peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant.
Put it all in a pan and stir fried with olive oil salt pepper and garlic. I was by myself and I ate the whole thing and Boo Boo licked the paper plate. Worth |
