My first one of the season!
Can you believe it? I have my first ripe tomato of the season on 7/1! I am so glad I took a chance and planted when spring hit early this year. My poor neighbor planted at the usual time and his plants have just topped two feet. Is it wrong that I'm so gleeful?

That is the Early Girl VFF hybrid. Celebrity and Green Zebra aren't far behind. I should be able to try them for the first time within a week! Paul (Robeson) appears to be a lazy lad.

Derby, that is a perfect looking tomato, now if it had been me, it would have never made it from the plant to the house, I would have taken off and took a bit. I love sun warmed tomatoes, nothing better in m book.
thanks for sharing a picture with us.

Lucky! I have a bunch of green fruit on most of my plants. However, some of my maters are just starting to set fruit.
I also have zukes growing on the vine, lots of green peppers growing, and my eggplants are starting to flower! |
