Default Brown specs all over Stem

I got brown specs all over my tomatoes stem. The tomato plant looks perfectly healthy and some even have flowers. Is this a concern?

Nope, that's normal, especially if some of the veins or leaf nodes have a little purple coloring. It's often the base of the stem hairs, showing up purple on the green stem.

Purple hints happen a lot in cool weather... I expect you'll see them vanish once things warm up.

Tqn626, what an awesome picture! What kind of camera are you using? I have specks also in the tomato plants that will be dark/purple tomatoes. It's funny how when we grow our own plants we inspect them so thouroughly. I have never done that with my purchased plants. They got drenched with this rain and some of them are droopy, but I expect the sun to perk them up when it warms up. I sold some to my garden club, gave away some to friends, and today I donated some to a school teacher for here school garden. It is so much fun seeing these 'babies' go to good homes. I hope your tomato plants are doing great!

Canon powershot elph 300hs.

So far I planted 20 tomato plants into the ground.

6 at my grandparents
6 at my brothers
4 at home
10 at my other grandparents.

Everyone garden except mines has some sort of wall or big tree protecting them. I been putting a bucket over them at night if it gets cold.

The ones in the cups are just getting too big, I need to get some containers.
