Default what do I do about this?

This beetle, is the second one I have seen, and on a plant in a different area of my garden. Anyone know what it is and what I should do about him(them)?
Marsha

Looks like the same I get on my mango flowers.Does it have wings?Does it have a horn/hook mouth mandible? If winged might have to cover plants with that wedding dress material. No wings means that it is below the plant to lay eggs.Must be in the borer type family. Can you pull one out to get better image?

Sorry I can't answer some of that, because I got disgusted and threw it on the ground and smashed it. I will definitely pull out and photo the next one. It does have wings.

Spray the fruit with Sevin with a bit of molasses as a sticker. It will get rid of almost any chewing insect; but there is a waiting period before you can eat any thing sprayed with it.
