Repotting Red Bell Peppers

Eight Sweet Red Bell pepper plants were purchased in flats and repotted. These will be placed in the outdoor garden at the end of May. Experience has indicated that the plants produce earlier and become more prolific with this treatment. Expectation is a bushel or more. |

They look great. Just wondering why you use the coffee filter inserts.

The filters prevent the soil from falling out the pot drain holes. Also the filter tends to keep the soil and roots contained, thus making removal from the pot easier and not disturbing the roots, when placing in the outdoor garden.
