The pepper looks a lot like the french heirlooms Ampuis (red) and Petit Marseillais (yellow). Crumpled bell shapes, they are fairly thin fleshed, very crisp, sweet peppers (at least, I got no heat from them).

The name on the seed packet only says 'Filfil Tawiil', 'Long pepper'. I know the Iraqi cuisine likes to use strong peppers and other spices.

It should be a long, skinny pepper with heat. That's what I had last year.
I don't know what you have - interesting! I tried to think if it was possible to mix up my seeds, but I poured directly from the Iraqi package into the plastic sachets. Let's see what happens. |

Here's a few pictures of this plant's in-ground partner. This plant is a bit shorter and stockier than the container grown one, it gets a lot more sunlight too.
