Need Source for Large Containers
I saw some large containers somewhere on the internet a long time ago and I didn't book mark the site and now I have no clue where it is.
Whether it's that site or another, do any of you know a supplier of large (25-50 gallon) black plastic nursery containers that have a water pan that it sits in? I saw those some place but just can't find it again. As I remember, they were around 35 gallons, black plastic, and had a heavy duty black plastic water pan they sat in for self watering. Any help will be appreciated.

Try B&T Growers Supply. They are in Louisiana.
I'm pretty sure the website is www.growersupply.com If they don't have it, nobody does. |

T...I can't answer your question....however, I bought 20 gal trash cans (husky) at HomeDepot for next season. They appear to be perfect for tomatoes. They are heavy plastic and a gray color. I think they will be perfect (not concerned about decorative look).

I don't remember ever seeing attached or accompanying water pans for the typical black nursery pots, let us know if you do find them. I have a dwarf peach tree that I am growing in a super large nursery pot. I found a large black plastic shallow tub at our local farm Fleet store that works well - not sure if it was an animal feed pan, or something for auto repair! Then after I got it home, I realized I already had two old black rubber tubs from my horse owning days, which I had assumed were too small, but as it turned out I could have fit under the pot.

I tried Growers Supply earlier and never found what I was looking for. I found the large containers doing a search a long time ago. I remember being surprised at seeing the water pan. I didn't book mark it, wasn't interest in going back for a while, and when I wanted to find it, I couldn't.
I'll email some of these nursery suppliers and see what they can suggest. Thanks for the effort.

I've been wanting to try this with Mexico Midget, as it supposedly grows huge! I do have a spare large trash can. Maybe I'll get around to it next year...

I called BT to be sure and they don't have them. They didn't know of anyone else who did.
Surely someone makes them.

Greentrees Hydro carries a variety of saucers. I think the biggest they have can hold a 23 in diameter pot.
