Liquid Fertilizer to Supplement Tomato Tone
I have some nice tomato plants in a mixture of Pro Mix BX and Tomato Tone fertilizer, in 15-gallon Smart Pots.
I'm adding the recommended amount of Tomato Tone periodically, but I've read on this web site that a liquid fertilizer would help as well, in addition to the regular addition of Tomato Tone. I'd rather stay organic, but I've read so many good things about Texas Tomato Food. Is it organic? If not, is there a good organic alternative? Thanks. |

Jack, I use TTF along with Tomato Tone in the garden/Earth boxes with
great results. The owner addressed this question somewhere in an original thread about TTF. In a nutshell, he said the nutrients are from organic sources but some of the minerals are viewed in a grey area by OMRI so the product is not OMRI listed. You can check out the ingredients used at www.theurbanfarm.com. |

Tbone,
You will not be disappointed. This is by far the best year of tomatoes I've ever had, and it is also the first year of using TTF. |

TTF is only partially organic, the base nutrients are hydroponics grade synthetics

I really like a mix of kelp and fish emulsion for liquid fertilizer.
