Unless it is an experiment I have not found plants that had this much stress recover well into production. I mean plant might recover but getting production out of it is a different matter.
I have couple of plants with this bathtub effect too. Gotta be careful for sure. |

I just hope they produce a few fruit to try them. It I love them then it will be a disappointment. I have over 30 plants for only two people. Was planing on sharing with family though.

An update on the plants. A few plants are worse but most are starting to recover it seems. It has been hot and humid with only a little rain this morning.

I saw that Texas is getting 3-5" more inches of rain by this weekend and maybe 6-8" in the far south. It's crazy.

I had a Creole plant that I thought Mother Nature had drowned.
I started my irrigation this AM to get the other plants and just let it go on the droopy Creole, figuring I would grab the two blushing tomatoes and grab the green ones to pickel over the weekend. When I got in from work today, the Creole looked great - it was not overwatered, but needed water. I knew it was a goner, but it perked up like a champ! Thank goodness the tomato plants have withstood my buffoonery. |
