Tom, Got Sena from a greek neighbour in Stavros after she was 8 weeks old. My other dog 'Felix' was a rescue. A german lady was running an animal shelter 10k's from the Chania airport who had 600+ dogs. She had worked a deal with the airlines that if she could get a tourist to sponsor a dog it would fly back with the sponsor for free. Thats how I got 'Sena' back to Germany. Felix came back with us to Germany in the car.

Shelleybean. On the other side of the fence is a strip of land about 15 yards wide by a 100 yards along that is one of my neighbors fruit tree orchard. They just havn't gotten around to cutting the grass yet. Beyond that is nothing but fields.
I'll post some more pictures of the whole valley to give you a better idea of my area.

dcarch. Have all of the above but they are not a problem. Even before the fence. The fence was put up for the dogs. Have had deer and fox come down to the property line but thats about it. Birds get a few peaches and asian pears but not enough to worry about.
I have more maters on the side of the house as well. I have 28 tomato plants around the house and 8 plants at work. Ami

Tomatoaddict, I live in Rheinland Pfalz and have done so for about 37 years. Born and raised in Southern California. German wife and a daughter that is a dual citizen. Both are teachers.

Tomtrees, I was at the Navy base at Souda Bay from Dec 98 to Oct 99 and lived outside of Chania in a small village called "Stavros". I even had a garden there and grew tomatoes, eggplant, watermelons and muskmelons. Used drip irrigation and had a blast doing it. Still waiting for my TYW seeds.
