Size is relative!

When one is in the midst of the tomato onslaught (which should be in about 3 weeks for us), they are on every kitchen surface, we take them for granted.

But at this time of the year, on the cusp of the harvest, joy can be had by just a few choice morsels! Here is a pic of our paltry but valued (and delicious!) harvest, which ended up on our salads tonight. Kimberly is a pretty small tomato, but when compared to Sungold and Mexico Midget, it puts it all into perspective! And were they wonderful tonight!

My tomato onslaught will be in the next week or two.

I have been crawling around on my hands and knees for the last week collecting those precious few first fruits.

I saw my first purple color forming today and I had to take a long pause with a BIG smile. Ahh summer..

You are so right. I am at the very end of mine and have started cutting back in hopes of seeing some fresh maters in late Sept. I need some tomato downtime.
