hole around plant base.
Probably another unsolved mystery.
I see these enclosed holes dug around three of my young tomato plants in the same raised bed. It is kind of strange because there are still some soil on top, then hollow space underneath. The space is enough so I can fit a three fingers in, fortunately nothing bit me. Also tried to dig a bit with a stick but found nothing. |

Are there any indications of anything happening to the plant? Stunted growth, ... etc?
Could be erosion at bottom of raised bed or settling. |

I don't know where you are located but in my area that would indicate a vole.

In any case, the plants are fine. |

Looks like a hole from water stream to me. Is it near a rain gutter, or hose? Digging would leave dirt scattered around it.
