Yes it's common and will take out your crop immediately. By ALL MEANS stay away from this one.

last year I had a clutch of guinea keets hatch out in my garden and did not see a single insect . This wont work in most gardens and I have to admit that a lot of the tomatoes where guinea pecked before I got them

Last year I fed all my seeds & skins from processing tomatoes to chickens. Not in my garden, though.
