Default EarthTainer "Farm" Update April 23 (Pics)

Finally finished planting yesterday (sweet corn in 2 'Tainers), so am now ready to kick-back and watch it all grow, from the Hot Tub.

Purple Haze and Ed's Millennium are the most vigorous plants as of today:

Purple Haze

I had planted a number of early Determinants hoping they would be early producers, but Stupice has grape sized fruit already, and not even flowers on Kimberly nor Extreme Bush.

Stupice

The Cherokee Chocolate that I had put out on Feb 11 continues to grow at about 6 inches per week over the past month. Need to add a cage extension today.

So overall, I am quite happy with the EarthTainer results to date, considering this is still April in Northern California.

Ray, looking real good. The results will be very interesting on the side by side comparisons your making using different techniques. Good stuff. Ami

Quick question Ami, when should I apply the MycroGrow Fungi solution to the test plants? Is this a one time application, or should it be done in repeated treatments?

Ray, once you have innoculated the plants you should be good to go. I don't know if subsequent applications would be beneficial or not. I'll check around. Ami

As long as the fungi take, once should do it. We are planning to use it where I work (a small production plant nursery). The manufacturers recommend a once only application. This can be done at various stages - at seed sowing time, transplant time, or planting out time. Of course, during the growing season works too, though the later the application, the fewer the benefits.
I'm looking forward to seeing the results Ray.
