Default Hana - Sept 3

Hana has been pumping out more fruits, and it is quite impressive to see this kind of yield on such compact plants. These are the last few fruits I harvested.

Default Justyna - Sept 4

This is a segregation line I have been working on since 2007. The original cross was made by Tom Wagner (Mountain Roma X F2 Sun Sugar)

I like the fruits because they are firm and almost seedless, with a very nice flavor with just a hint of SunSugar.

It is still not stable, I got 50% red and 50% orange fruits.

Default Grightmire's Pride NOT - Sept 3

1 plant produced large red beefsteaks instead of pink hearts. I think this may have been a stray seed in the seed packet.

Default Krupnaya Slivka - Sept 3

The plants are really kicking by now, ripening lots of huge fat plums with excellent sweet flavor. They are quite juicy, and great in salads.

Default Mayo's Delight - Sept 4

This was a first fruit, the smallest on the plant and seedless. The other fruits are still green, but they are huge! I hope they'll ripen soon. Very nice sweet flavor.

I am actually quite impressed with the results of the season. I am so happy I was able to do enough to get rewarded with some nice harvest.

More pictures to follow.

You should be impressed Tania, and I'm impressed as well and so far my take here at home has been three new red cherries, one of which I really like, two unnamed pink hearts, an heirloom, from Marina, and that's about it, with temps to dip to 39 F tomorrow night. What was supposed to be a small heirloom heart from Marina turned out not to be a heart, as she confirmed.

For quite a few years Ulrike Paradine in England would buy seeds in France, and split the seeds with me and then I'd send her some new ones. She's the person who sent me the original seeds for Earl of Edgecombe, but those were from the Henry Doubly Day group in England.

One of the varieties she got from, I think it was called Ste. Marthe in France, was the Brin one you showed above but the seed was not true so I never got to see it.

Dix Doight de Naples was one of only two varieties where I got a somatic mutation, one branch having red tomatoes, but all round and smaller. Stupidly I never saved the seed from those large cherries. Same situation with Casino and Casino Chips as I see it.

Grightmires Pride has been around a long time and I grew it many years ago.

But you show so many varieties I don't know, that look terrific, that I wish I was age 40 again, so I'd have more time to grow even more varieties, especially the hearts, and that one yellow one you recently posted looks terrific.

I don't know how you do it all so all I can say is thank you so much for doing as much as you are to grow so many new ones, offer seed for so many new ones, and still have the time to update so many varieties you feature at your website.

Tremendous accomplishment for the season, Tania! Thanks for posting all the beautiful pictures and comments. So many new ones to admire, and many I will put on my list of seeds to pursue in future years.
