6-8 large tomatoes with 2 Serranos and 2 Chiles Güeritos (Banana) + 1/2 white onion into a small vegetable steamer for about 10 mins. They peel off quick.
Everyone into the blender with cilantro, a tad of knorr suiza for umami, squeezed two lemons, salt/pepper, very slight pinch of oregano and cumin, bit of powdered garlic. This goes into a slow cooker for 6 hours with cuts of beef (costilla cargada). I have one of those 3 small container slow cookers,so 2 got the beef and the 3rd one a mix of beans, with chicken stock and 1/2 whole onion. Finally, the rice was cooked using the steamer water (where the tomato juice that ran off accumulated), an additional Odoriko and some frozen veggies. Breakfast was good today. food.tv.jpg PS Rosca de Reyes underneath. I'm not religious, although I enjoy the food very much. Purim was always my favorite one on the east coast. End of Ramadan feast is a good one too. |

Romaine lettuce sliced apple cauliflower fermented carrots fresh grated ginger olive oil black walnut cracked black pepper.
To keep the apples from turning brown treat them in water with fruit fresh in it. Worth IMG_20160112_1954.jpg |

This was the last salad made with cabbage and my OWN tomatoes, peppers, and dill picked in 2015. Actually dill was picked last Friday.
Have to start new seedlings in a few weeks.

My wife had a 'spaz' attack when she was following the recipe and then noticed 'slightly flowable'. I thought it was funny, but took care to laugh in another room.

It's in the oven, and I suspect I'm going to be the 'test subject'...

It looks like a giant corn cookie. Tastes fine to me. I will conduct further experiments later (honey, apple butter, pumpkin butter, soup beans, and so forth). I guess her idea of 'slightly flowable' was spot on.
