Nice seedlings.
The only thing wrong with that picture is all of those bands. One band, if any at all, ought to suffice. Bands are a risk to the birds. They get hung up on branches and nesting material.

The other day we were cutting ductile iron pipe with a gas powered chop saw and i took this cool looking pic. The mineral makeup of ductile iron creates an almost firework type spark when cut. The sparks look really cool when you put the cutting torch to it.

You might ask what does this have to do with gardening?? Keeping these out of our garden is our biggest challenge. Worst than a tomato hornworm! Breakfast consists of oatmeal, sunflower seeds, cranberries, raisins. blueberries, and whatever other fruits we had. |
