That plant is one of the things I miss from my time living in Texas.

I have a tree growing from a seed I had for I think close to 25 years no joke.
They are almost impossible to transplant from the wild. Just about every one you see is grown from seed in a container. You have to file or scarify the seed to get it to sprout. And you have too be careful not to disturb the roots or you will kill it when you plant it out. But the tree can live on its own in anything including rocks without watering once it is established. It is one thing to see them in landscaping it is another to walk up on one in bloom in the wild. The best way to sprout the seeds is to get them before they harden into red beans. Yes they are one of my pet plants I love them and they are an evergreen. The Arroyo Sweetwood is another fantastic tree and another legume. When it is in bloom it smells like a spice cabinet. I have one of those also. So little known about it doesn't have a wiki site. Worth |

What is it with me and critters.
This feller has been hanging out with me and Smokey all afternoon in the garden. I have no idea where he came from and he lets me pick him up and carry him around. Worth IMG_20160302_38492.jpg |

Pardon the un swept floor in and out of the house does this.
The little devil came in on his own and laid down next to me. Zeus still visits me on a regular basis also. Worth IMG_20160302_3703.jpg |

He doesn't look like much of a devil to me! I want to cuddle him.

The lady that lives up the street came looking for him.
I told her he had been with me since he got out and called him out of the woods. I also told her If no one came looking for him he was going to stay in the house with me at night so the wolves wouldn't get him. She thanked me for that. Worth |
