Not worth waiting for another round of fruit to see if it's going to improve? The infected ones are about 15 yards from the rest...

I have no idea whether that disease is windborn at
all. At least it won't drop straight down into
your garden bed or be spread there by infected
roots if it is all in the container plants.

(I might want more than 15 yards separation, like move them
completely on the other side of a building from the in-ground
garden, so if the wind does carry spores of this stuff, they
hit the building and drop down there.)

Darn!

I just found one in the veg patch! On a whim, I took a whiff and boy it stinks! Much like dead fish to be honest. I am going to heave ho the grow bags in the morning and spray the one in the ground asap!

I thought growin' tomatoes was supposed to be easy??!

Easy! Ha. If it ever seems to be going along real smooth, then you know something is about to go horribly wrong.

Well, I just had the dubious pleasure of tossing away eight tomato plants that just never made it....kinda sad in a way, but since my wife totalled her car yesterday, and my young daughter put her arm through a window last week, tossing the plants was a doddle!

Paul,

Sorry to hear about all your run of bad luck in your family. But think of it this way....it usually happens in 3's.

Can't help you with any real suggestions on the water filled tomatoes...aka the tomato stink bags. Haven't had that dubvious distinction yet.

Hmmmm....If I was younger I might be tempted to toss them at passers-by...!

Howdy do, Zana?!
