I think my vine is an indeterminate. It certainly spralls like an ind. By bush I'm assuming you mean determinate, right?

Based on your setup being so different from mine (10" tall beds which get 8-10 hours of sun a day and which I water with soaker hoses), I'd say throw my advice on this matter out the window. Except the catfacing vs. BER bit. I still think it's just catfacing.

Naysen,
Good to hear that yours are not getting worse and even looking better. I took off the affected ones on mine and am hoping that the largest one may still ripen if it congregates with the bananas for a while ;-) In any case my wife fried up the smaller ones last night and while I was really looking forward to the first tomato of the year being juicy; it was nice not to waste them. I will respond to my post along with better pics that show that mine did have the catfacing going on but along with the brownish tint that yours didn't have, the funny thing is that they have never and still aren't soft or mushy whatsoever...

Jeremy,

Thanks for the well wishes. I hope your FGTs were tasty and that you don't have to relegate any more potentially juicy tomatoes to the saute pan, at least not for another couple months.

Gotta say they were pretty tasty but there is definitely something wrong with FGT's this early in the season...
