what's all that white stuff on the ground? oh that's right you are lucky enough to actually live where there is a winter not like around here in the subtropical climate of connecticut. at the rate things are going the wood in the woodshed that is just for a year will last 2 maybe 3 years. and my snowblower, well i might as well buy a surf board. not there's any ocean around here but there's about as much use for a snowblower as a surf board. now last winter that was a winter!

Tom -- I keep telling you, you should move up here and be my neighbor! You would love it. This year we've had above average snowfall and below average temps.

The kiwi are Arctic Beauty and the fruits are edible, but not at all like the ones you'd buy in the supermarket. They are about the size of a grape, but do have the same kiwi taste (and no fuzz!). Need a male and female to produce fruit.

That must have been a horrible sight to see! They really do love apples ... and cabbage ... and broccoli ...

Anchorage had a moose aptly named "Buzzwinkle" for his fondness of fermented crab apples and his rack gear of tangle Christmas tree lights. He was an old moose who had to put down...not because he was drunk in public too many times but instead due to old age and an infection. I am sure he is still fondly remembered by some downtown merchants.
