Anyone else use milk crates? - Page 2

I don't see anything here that's accusing anyone of theft. The issue is "possession" of stolen property. Regardless of how anyone acquired the milk crates, if the law says they're stolen property, then their stolen property.

Came across a milk crate garden article on FB today. I wondered if anyone has grown anything larger than a cherry in one of these milk crates? I am doing Gardeners Delight cherry in 5 gallon buckets and I bet this is roughly the same amount of soil. But what about Rutgers or a Big Beef?

I would line it with old newspapers, that is what I do when I get cracks in the 5 gallon buckets. Keeps the dirt in but breaths.

On a garden tour last weekend, I saw carrots growing in plastic crates. Brilliant idea! Carrots need loose soil, and the crates have exactly the right depth. There were three in a row, and surrounding soil was mounded against them so all you saw were the top edges of the crates.
