These guys have the TO Plastics 3.5-inch deep:

(A bundle of 450 would be 25 sheets of 18 each.)

"Red cheapo cup. I pot you up. Proceed to sprouting. Let's have some fruiting....". Fortunately my gardening group is not fussy about what type of pot gets sold at the annual sale, so red plastic cup it is

I like the 12 oz styofoam cups - they hold enough potting medium, but I use less (of course) than I would have to to fill up the 16 oz cups. Plus they are easy to write on with a sharpie, and they fit in a carrier tray.

My sheet pots from Hummert came today. This is the "deep" version, 18 to a sheet. The box is 50 sheets and the price was $51. It comes out to 5.5 cents per pot, which is more expensive than the solo cups, but they are easier to work with and don't tip over.

Go check out your local recylcling facility. They should have tons of plastic pots and trays they will give you.

Do you have the catalog # for these? I am not seeing anything close to $51.00.

I tried the red solo cup thing last year and it sucked. it was extremely difficult to keep everything straight and from being knocked over.

It's SOP-18-DP. Hummert's prices change a lot, so I don't know exactly what you'll end up paying.

And the shipping cost stinks if you are only ordering one item. I think it's another $20 or so to ship it.

Andrea,

I'm not sure where in N ILL Carlin has their office, Rockford maybe, but they might be an option for you. I go to their Milwaukee office all the time. Usually they don't have those deep pots in stock but will order them for you direct from Minn. You might even be able to do it all on the phone and have them ship direct to your house. The Minn manufacturer would be able to ship using Speedy and the shipping would most likely only be $10 -15. The only thing is you would have to get a whole case of 100.

The price on all those plastic sheet pots varies a lot depending on the price of oil. When gas is high the plastic stuff goes high too.

Thank you, I contacted them this morning...

Unfortunately, there pots are $0.17 Each before shipping.
and there trays are $1.63 each before shipping

I was hoping to find some under $0.10 each

They are too high

You want to split an order? or maybe we can get a group order together????

I think the Nu-Pot gimmick is that they want to sell you the trays to fit whatever pot you buy. I wonder if one of their trays will hold red solo cups?
