Okay, after reading all of the posts, here is what I did.
I sprayed them with the fish emulsion like Dr. Carolyn said. I turned up the heat a little. They look very healthy. I am not going to pitch them. I know alot of people that grow tomatoes in very cool conditions and their tomatoes are great. I am a newbie so I wasn't sure what to do after reading all of this. One of my friends here in Zone 5, starts all of her seeds outdoors right in the garden May 1st. She saves 2 litre pop bottles, cuts off the bottoms and puts them over the little seeds she has planted. Kind of like a little greenhouse. Her tomatoes are beautiful. So I figured it must not hurt them to be cool. Maybe the climate difference in the U.K. makes a difference. Sometimes what works in one country might not work in another. This summer I will take pics and post when they are fruiting in the garden. Thanks so much for everyones advice. Peace
