Show Off Your Pepper Plaants

I know how it is up north , believe me.
I have struggled to grow peppers up in PNW. Sure , I did get some but not a whole lot.
So here down in NC, the weather is pepper friedly and the season is early, on top of that I pushed the season by a moth.

The next : ALMA PAPRIKA: I have 3 plants ... I think they are doing fine. Hope to make my own Paprika Powder.

Looking really good. I wonder about the color, though. Mine went from green to red. I don't recall a yellow stage, but it's been a few years.

I've done Alma before. Mine went from a cream-yellow color to orange to red. I did harvest a bunch at the orange stage, though.

DMF, like ako said, they start cream / yellow, as seen in the picture.
Mabe you've got a different variety ? Or maybe I've got a different variety ?

I am wondering whether I should top some of my plants for bushier growth. They have already branched , not sure where to cut. Some of them just seem a little tall and spindly. How do you guys do it? They were planted out about 5 weeks ago and have started flowering. Sorry I cannot post pics til I get something other than this tablet

I just leave them be. And some varieties I've grown seem to just be tall and spindly; others short and bushy; and some sort of in between. If they're flowering and setting, then they're just doing their thing!

Thanks! I agree, the Jimmy Nardello are the taller ones so that makes sense. I am leaving them be.

Maybe, but it's more likely that my memory is fading. It's been 4.5 seasons since I've seen one ripen. Being able to plant so few varieties now I grow something that I haven't before. In any case, I really liked Alma. Enjoy yours!
