Nu_Mex Heritage 6-4
I believe that Nu_Mex Heritage 6-4 from what I have read was an effort to get the original flavor of Hatch Chilis back that had been lost due to cross pollination, mislabeling, etc. I have seed that my brother brought back from a trip to New Mexico which are the result of renewed interest at the Chili Pepper Institute at New Mexico State University in getting the traditional Hatch Chili flavor. We really like it.
Here is an interesting article on the renewed efforts to bring Nu Mex 6-4 traditional flavor back. https://cpi.nmsu.edu/wp-content/uplo.../H64.full_.pdf |

What's the difference between these chiles and padron? They both seem to be green to grill.
