If I had known it's this easy to grow pepper in Ohio I would have grown more. Next year I'm growing 20 shishi-to plants.

Picked some peppers yesterday. Have a lot of dehydrating to do. In the bag is Scotch Bonnet Freeport Orange(mine look more peachy) and Espiritu Santo Red.

Killing it. What's the yellow pepper? I've read Freeport Orange is a phenotype selection of Bahamian Goat, which is the peachy color. Not sure if that's accurate or not. My Freeport have always shown the typical orange though. From the same seeds as the ones you received too.

They are all from the seeds you sent me. The one with the yellow pods was kind of ignored. Didn’t take care of the plant very well. They will make a good hot powder.

Scotch Bonnet Freeport Orange is a really nice pepper. It has a peachy or orange color It is surprisingly not as hot as you would expect a scotch bonnet can be. Very useable. Below is some powder I made with the pepper on top. I will be growing it again next
year.

The peppers are starting to really kick in. I started growing Gypsy after it proved too hard to get decent bells here in the heat and the Gypsy grows really well.

This shot has one of two Gypsy plants on the right and a yellow banana pepper on the left:

I am also growing one plant each of Alma and Feher Ozon paprikas (picked the first red Almas yesterday), Big Jim, Ancho Grande, Jupiter (one bell that did sort of OK last year) and two jalapeno plants (Mucho Nacho and Jalapeno M).

The plants are noticeably more full and better branched this year after I pruned out the growth tips this spring. That will be done every year from now on.

Here's the Ancho Grande, another new-to-me pepper. It started out rather slow as far as production but now it's going great guns and is loaded. More chili rellanos!

I dont know about that variety but the ones I grew one year got hotter than a hot jalapeno.

I'm not one for real hot peppers but so far the two times I've made a chili rellanos casserole with both these anchos and Big Jims in it, the Big Jims have been hotter than these anchos.
