A messenger stopped by today and announced the arrival of the clipper ship I invested in.
Here is some of the bounty that arrived from China. The much waited for porcelain. The boys did a great job not a chip or crack to be seen. Worth IMG_20150704_45715.jpg |

Not to impulse buy I mulled it over for three weeks. I looked on line for reviews and the only thing anyone said was they were heavy. Heavy I can deal with. They are the Better Homes and Gardens porcelain so I bought two sets plus eight smaller bowls. They are good to 450 Degrees in the oven and microwaveable. I have always wanted square white porcelain dishes and now I have them. Worth |

I think I have seen them there too. I think it was when we were looking at the pressure canners. The local chinamart carries the 16 quart in store, but not the 23 quart one we ordered from walmart.com.

I sold some cabbage to a guy at farmer's market this morning. He was an older guy, and he told me that his dad's favorite food was cabbage. He ate it all the time, and cooking it in the pressure cooker was how he prepared it. His dad lived to be 97.

Worth, Your dinner looks awesome and don't forget you are always welcome to drop in and eat with us, but I can tell you I am not that fancy. One plate, fork, knife, maybe a spoon and maybe a napkin.

Pickled Okra - my favorite. My former Mother In Law taught me how to can. This year I gave put up 20 pints of pickles and a dozen of whole tomatoes. Guess next week I'll go to the Farmer's Market and get some okra to pickle.
