Here is the latest creation from the stuff.
Assorted peppers and tomatoes, chili powder cumin garlic powder cayenne powder lime juice corn.
Put on stove and cook down and let cool.
Makes a great salsa.

I love figs. I bet they taste great. Both my husband and son can each eat a pound of them easily. Do you have your own tree?

Yes it took a while to out grow the deer but I have a tree.
Or more accurately a bush.

Another random picture...Mom sent this to me last night and says she has a smaller bag for me! All from one 3 year old peach tree in its first year of fruiting. I'm seeing visions of cobbler, preserves, bbq sauce...

Mom says they're yellow, and I know she had to harvest early to keep them from the birds (you can see they got to a few of em). She says my Gram started the tree from a pit for her, and I know they have yellow peaches (they didn't spray this year so theirs all got worms unfortunately).

I have a peach tree I planted some time ago.
The critters keep eating the grafted part back.
Now the root stock is growing and bigger than the wee twig that is left over from the grafted part.
They critters dont even look at the root stock growth.
Weird.

Thanks! I'm toying with the idea of trying to start a peach tree of my own from a pit in a pot to plant in the ground when we get a house.
