That sausage looks amazing, Worth. Loving the cupcake apron, too.

Mike723, is the sparrow flying between the second and third green poles? There are those nice tomato cages again...wouldn't suit my container garden but they sure look nice!

Nematode, I don't understand the manly lingo, but I get that you're building a huge climate controlled greenhouse! Very cool. Hope to see more pics as it progresses.

Ella, the borscht looks great.

Worth, you are the busiest, most productive person! If only I had a fraction of your energy!

Thanks for the compliment on the cages! I just noticed the third cage is crooked, I'll have to fix that tonight.. A good excuse to go in the garden at least.. lol

I understand how you can pull 80k cooling btu's out of that, but how so on the heating? At such a shallow level, what is your heat source?

It's not much heating, its based on 50f ground temperature and 32f air temp. I think the cooling was based on 100f air and 60f ground temp.
At that shallow level it is mostly an actively managed thermal mass, which is not a bad concept for a high tunnel.
During the day heat is stored in the earth, during the night that heat is moved into the growing space.
The part you cant see is the 4' foam insulation skirt around the perimeter. There is actually a great deal of heat that can be harnessed from conduction from the earth.
It is my expectation that the soil in the tunnel will not freeze in zone5 if I decide to keep running the blower. Time will tell, the calculations are a bit seat of the pants.

My implementation has not been tested, just another experiment in progress.
The idea is not mine, there are many of these around the world using air to store/remove heat from the ground.

Thank you so much.
Thank you also Kelly, the cupcake apron is all I could find in town.
Here is a late breakfast of cheese sausage knack wurst and garden tomato.
The cheese sausage came out messy but tastes great.
Sort of like an onion jalapeno cheese burger.
The knack wurst came out hot.

Every cheese sausage I've ever had has been messy, but in the best way. I was wondering how that turned out. I always have that queso poblano chicken sausage from HEB in my fridge or freezer, it's so good (and excellent sliced into mac 'n' cheese). But the onion/garlic/jalapeno/cheddar/brisket combo sounds even better!

Default cucumbers and a tomato.

Here is what I just picked out of the garden and by no means all of it.
I think I will drop it off at my neighbours doorstep.

Well done Worth! Those sausages look luscious! To quote (or misquote) Willy Wonka, they look "scrumpdilicious". I once I thought of making our own sausage because I love sausage, but we couldn't figure out how to store it. Our freezer is already full. And we know if we bought another freezer or refrigerator we'd just fill that up as well.
